My story as a photographer
My name is Merian, and I want to share a small piece of my story—or maybe more accurately, the way I’ve come to see the world through photography.
I picked up a camera because something inside me needed a way to express how I see things, how I see people, how I feel energies moving around me. What I discovered is that I see the world through a very specific lens, not just the literal one, but the one shaped by my curiosity, my softness, and my deep love for the little things.
When I look around, I notice light and shadow, the way they dance on a face, a wall, or through the leaves. I notice the quiet emotion in someone’s eyes, the honesty in an awkward pose, the story hidden behind a glance. I see the world through a colorful prism, through softness, through wonder, through a lens that believes that if you look for magic, you’ll find it.
Photography became my way to hold on to moments that feel honest,a way to say, you are art too.
My photos might sometimes feel too colorful, too dreamy, or a little outside the box. But that’s okay. That’s how I see life, through more depth, more magic, and more softness than what we’re usually shown.
If there’s one thing I hope people feel through my work, it’s that being yourself—fully, freely, imperfectly, is the most beautiful thing of all.
Thank you for seeing the world with me. 🌿
